Pakistan Cricket Chairman For IPL Final: Will It Really Happen?

The bilateral relationship between India and Pakistan were completely destroyed after the terrorism activities committed by the Pakistani individuals in India. Subsequently, the Indian cricket board has also decided not to play any bilateral series with Pakistan.

Adding to that Pakistani players are not permitted to take part in the IPL, which is the richest cricket league in the world. Officially speaking, there has been no travel culture between India and Pakistan for the last decade or so.

But the latest development are suggesting that the Pakistan cricket board chairman has been invited for the IPL finals in Ahmedabad. This is a part of the ICC board meeting that is set to be held in Ahmedabad. Representatives of all Cricket boards are invited.

Apparently, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has reportedly received an invitation from the ICC for the ICC Board Meeting and IPL Final scheduled on May 30-31 in Ahmedabad, India final decision regarding his participation and visit to India will be taken later by the Government of Pakistan and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

This is the news that is in circulation on social media and national media from a few sources, but there is no official clarity on the same.

The big question is whether the Indian cricket board would actually take this decision to invite Pakistan cricket board chairman to IPL final. There is no value that would be added with the presence of the Pakistan representative. And on top of that, it could invite significant public backlash from the Indian demographic.
