India’s World Cup Schedule Is Out.. Big Matches From The Start!

The 2027 ODI World Cup schedule is out and India have got some big games right from the beginning. The tournament will be played in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia from October 2 to November 21.

India are in Group A along with Australia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe and one qualifier. The campaign will begin with a big one as India take on Australia on October 7 in Cape Town.

The India-Pakistan clash will follow just three days later. The two teams will meet on October 10 in Johannesburg, making it one of the biggest games of the entire group stage.

India will then face Afghanistan on October 14 in Tshwane. The next game is against a qualifier on October 17 in Bloemfontein. India will finish their group matches against Zimbabwe on October 24 at Victoria Falls.

October 7 – India vs Australia – Cape Town
October 10 – India vs Pakistan – Johannesburg
October 14 – India vs Afghanistan – Tshwane
October 17 – India vs Qualifier – Bloemfontein
October 24 – India vs Zimbabwe – Victoria Falls

The 2027 World Cup will feature 14 teams and 57 matches. The tournament will have a different format this time, with the teams moving through the Super Series, Group Stage and Super 7 stages before the knockouts.

India have been placed as A1 for the Super 7 stage. If they qualify, they will play further matches against teams from the other group as part of the next stage.

The semi-finals will be played on November 17 and 18, while the final is scheduled for November 21 in Johannesburg.

For Indian fans, the schedule itself has created plenty of interest. Australia in the opening game and Pakistan just three days later means India will have two major matches right at the start of their World Cup campaign.
