Changing the clock twice a year for daylight saving is going to end soon. The US Senate on Tuesday passed legislation making daylight saving time permanent starting in 2023.
The Senate approved the measure, Sunshine Protection Act, unanimously by voice vote. The House of Representatives must still pass the bill before it can go to President Joe Biden to Sign.
Senator Marco Rubio said supporters agreed on the change but it would not take place until 2023 November after input from airlines and broadcasters. Though this is not the most important issue bothering America, definitely is one of those issues where there’s a lot of agreement, according to Rubio. He also said, ‘ If we can get this passed, we don’t have to do this stupidity anymore.’
Around 30 states have introduced legislation to end the daylight saving concept in 2015, while there are other states proposing to do it only if neighboring states do it.
