US: 10 Mass Shootings Over The Weekend!

The school shooting shock is overshadowed by the last weekend’s shootings in the US. Just from Friday till Sunday, there were 10 mass shootings in the US, killing at least a dozen people and injuring more than 60.

In Texas and South Carolina, the shooting was at a school graduation party. Funeral goers were hit outside a church in Kentucky. In Chattanooga and Tennessee, the shooting happened at a nightclub. The crowd was shot randomly in Philadelphia by multiple shooters.

These shootings come after the massacre at an elementary school in Texas, a deadly shooting in Oklahoma medical facility, a Supermarket shooting in New York by a racist, Taiwanese Church shooting in California.

The US has recorded at least 246 mass shootings in 2022. According to Gun Violence Archive, a mass shooting involves at least four people being shot, excluding the shooter.

The debates about gun culture and Senate gun talks raised the heat and they must yield something to stem the shootings.

  • Philadelphia, at least two were killed and 11 others injured at a bustling entertainment district.
  • Chattanooga, Tennessee, two were killed and 14 were injured near a nightclub.
  • Summerton, South Carolina, one person was killed and at least seven otheres were wounded at a graduation party.
  • Phoenix, one person was killed and eight others wounded at a strip mall.
  • Mesa of Arizona, two people were killed and two others injured.
  • Socorro, Texas, five people were wounded.
  • Chesterfield, Virginia, one person killed and five injured.
  • Omaha, Nebraska – One person was killed and three others injured.
  • Macon of Georgia- One person was killed and three others were wounded.
  • Saginaw of Michigan – Three people were killed and two people were wounded.
