Rajahmundry Incident Sparks Fears of ‘Adulterated’ Milk

What can be considered an extremely unfortunate and harmful incident, several individuals have fallen ill after allegedly consuming adulterated milk in Rajahmundry.

Incidentally, as many as 14 people belonging to the same locality in Rajahmundry have been getting admitted to hospital starting from February 15. They have all been complaining of indigestion and no bowel recognition.

Sadly, 2 of them, Kanarathnam(75) and Krishna (76) have died already. And now the latest developments are suggesting that a couple of more people have died due to the same. Seshagiri Rao(72) and Radha Krishnamurthy(74) are the new victims.

The fact that as many as four people from the same locality have died in the last few days has become a major cause of concern. Subsequently, a police investigation has been launched, and it is being established that all the people belong to the same locality and they had all experienced similar medical problems.

The police have now started to investigate the milk supplier who is the common point here as he supplies milk to all these households. Incidentally, all of these victims had complained of bitter milk and curd on Feb 15 from this milk supplier.

It is now suspected that this adult milk could have been the reason behind this medical situation. Another shocking thing here is that all the victims are aged above 60, meaning the adulterated milk might’ve only affected the elderly.

The police are currently investigating the adulterated milk angle, and they have already kept the milk supplier in custody.
