Hyderabad is regarded as the city with the very best cuisine in all of India, and this is perhaps the reason why the Hotel industry is very robust and massive in scale of commerce. But this Hotel industry is now reportedly in deep trouble due to the ongoing conflict between Iran and United States.
Like other metropolitan cities like Bengaluru and Mumbai, which are suffering from a sharp shortage in commercial gas supply for hotels, Hyderabad is also facing a similar situation.
The Hyderabad Hotel Association has categorically stated that they are unable to process with the logistical operations now. According to the media reports, several hotels in Hyderabad have gas supply only for one day and they cannot continue the operations beyond that.
If this situation continues, then over 70,000 hotels in Hyderabad that are currently in operation could be facing existential crisis due to the shortage in commercial gas supply.
Apparently, many hotels across the city, need somewhere in the range of 15 to 20 commercial cylinders per day. Considering the current reduction in the supply of commercial gas, matching this number is virtually impossible.
It has to be seen what kind of measures that the Hyderabad Hotel Association would be taking in the near future. Another point to be noted here is that the Bengaluru and Mumbai hotels Association have communicated that they are sitting down operations due to the prevailing gas shortage.
