MLA’s Daughter Becomes Miss India

Sadhvi Sail, the daughter of Karwar Congress MLA Satish Sail, was crowned the 61st Femina Miss India. The MLA’s daughter represented Goa and won the crown after surpassing 29 contestants. Rajnandini, belonging to Maharashtra was the first runner-up and Sriti Advaita, from Jammu and Kashmir, was the second runner-up.

The finale was held at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, on April 18.

After winning the crown, Sadhvi spoke to her father on a video call and expressed her happiness. Sadhvi is an Economics graduate and pursued International Relations from the University of British Columbia in Canada.

Nikita Porwal, the winner of 2025 edition, crowned Sadhvi at the finale. Sadhvi said that she is very grateful for the opportunity. “My aim is to make India proud. Everyone who came to this place is a winner.”

Reportedly, Sadhvi put down 10 kg weight to get qualified for the competition. Her hobbies include photography, badminton, bee keeping. She will represent India in the 2026 Miss World Competition to be held in Vietnam on Sept. 5.

Sadhvi hails from Goa and is also interested in construction and development sector. After winning the crown, she said that she wished to take her journey forward with honesty and integrity. She said winning the competition felt like surreal.
