US: Covid-19 New Death Record For Second Straight Day

The death rate has not slowed down in the US due to Covid-19. For a straight second day, the US registered a new record with the highest number of deaths in the country. More than 3800 deaths have been reported on Wednesday in the US. This is the most reported in a single day.

Experts forecast predicts more than 80,000 deaths in the US due to Covid-19 in the next three weeks. On the other side, the US is lagging behind many countries in administering vaccinations and distribution. The impact of vaccinations over the spread and hospitalizations will make a difference only if the vaccine is widely available and the current conditions suggest that many not be possible until summer next year.

The US also set a record of hospitalizations along with the death rate. More than 125000 were admitted to the hospitals due to Covid-19 in the US only on Wednesday.

2 States With UK Variant

The UK’s new virus strain is sending tremors across the world with its 70 times faster spread than the current Coronavirus. Around 27 countries so far reported seeing the cases of new strain from the UK.

The officials from two states in the US, Colorado, and California reported cases of new variant infections. The first known case of the UK variant in the US was seen in Colorado.
