Myntra is one of the popular e-commerce firms that is favorite to many. Now, the company strikes headlines as the management decided to change its logo. An official complaint was lodged against the company with the Mumbai Cyber Police that the company’s logo is “insulting and offensive” towards women. A woman named Naaz Patel, of Avesta Foundation NGO, lodged the complaint in December last year.
Not just filing a police complaint, Naaz Patel has voiced her opinion on multiple forums and platforms online. The company has come across the same and decided to change the logo.
Mumbai Cyber Crime department officials have sent an email to Myntra asking their officials to come for a meeting. The officials have found the logo offensive in nature and asked them to get the logo changed in a month’s time. The people at Myntra responded positively and decided to change the logo. In one month’s time, the logo of Myntra will get transformed into a new logo in all places.
Myntra is already in plans to revise the logo on the website, app, promotional, and packaging materials. The company is yet to reveal the new logo of the company.
