Christian Community Donates Rs.1 Cr For Ayodhya Ram Mandir

Leading members of Bangalore’s Christian community have contributed more than Rs one crore for the construction of Lord Ram temple in Ayodhya, the office of Deputy Chief Minister C N Ashwath Narayan said on Sunday.

With the help of fund-raising drive (Nidhi Samarpana Abhiyan), the members of the Christian community could donate such a whopping amount to the construction of Ram Mandir. People hailed the move as it stood as the perfect example of Unity in Diversity.

Many Christian entrepreneurs, businessmen, educationists, NRIs, CEOs, marketing experts, social service activists and leaders of the community have participated in the meeting. “BJP believes in pro-people actions and Sab ka Saath, Sab ka Vikas” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

With this amazing news, even netizens expressed their happiness saying that one has to respect other’s religion – Afterall, God in all religion preaches Love, Kindness, Compassion, and Respect. On the behalf of all those who donated, Ronald Colaso, a businessman by profession, said the community’s strong suit is responding to the cause of the nation any given time. All that matters to them is social harmony, he added.

He also mentioned special thanks to the BJP-led government for granting Rs 200 crore for setting up Christian Development Corporation in the city. “We are also grateful to the state government for legislating a Bill to set up Saint Joseph University in the city,” said Colaso in the statement.
