US: Mild Heart Inflammation In Some Vaccinated Teens

A very few young Covid-19 vaccine recipients experiencing mild heart inflammation in the US. CDC said it is investigating it.

The CDC said it received relatively few reports of mostly male adolescents and young adults developing myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart muscle. The particular condition can be caused by a number of viruses and often goes away without any complications.

The health officials were not alarmed by the number of cases but healthcare workers should be aware of the potential adverse event.

It is reported that the ”heart inflammation’ cases usually occurred within four days of taking the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine. The US recently approved the Covid-19 vaccine for children of ages 12-15.
