Sonia Gandhi Hospitalised Of Respiratory Infection

Former president of Congress Sonia Gandhi has been admitted to a hospital following respiratory infection. She was rushed to Gangaram hospital, New Delhi. The UPA President was admitted to the Department of Chest Medicine. Doctor Arup Basu and team are treating Sonia Gandhi. Her daughter Priyanka Vadra has accompanied Sonia during the admission process. Sonia is put observation for viral respiratory infection.

Tests are done for Sonia. Dr Ajay Swaroop, Chairman (Board of Management), Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, said in a statement to media. “Mrs. Sonia Gandhi, Chairperson, UPA has been admitted to our hospital today. She has been admitted in Department of Chest Medicine under the care of Dr. Arup Basu and his team. Mrs. Gandhi has been admitted for observation and treatment of a viral respiratory infection.”

Recently, Sonia Gandhi along with Congress party general secretary Priyanka Vadra, husband Robert Vadra have joined Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo yatra in Delhi. Several senior leaders of Congress expressed concern for Sonia’s health and wished her speedy recovery. Former Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah expressed his sadness and hoped for her fast recovery.
