Historic: India Lifts the World Cup!

India has created history in the ongoing T20 World Cup tonight by beating New Zealand by a comprehensive margin of 96 runs in the final game that was held in Ahmedabad.

India was absolutely brilliant with the bat in the first innings as they ended up scoring 255 runs. New Zealand was absolutely no match to India on any count as they ended up losing the game by 96 runs. 

India has now become the first team in the history of T20 World Cup to win two titles back-to-back. The fact that India is able to defend the T20 World Cup is an indication of the strong performance that men in blue had been putting up.

Along with India is the first team to win the ICC T20 tournament trophy in home ground. So India has essentially established two new records with a single finale win tonight. 

This will go down as one of the most successful campaigns for India in history, and this is a very good effort from the men in blue.
