When there is an event of crisis, the top leadership in the state government is expected to stand strong as a token of solidarity and support. This is precisely what Minister Lokesh is doing with regard to the Raptadu government school incident, which left a girl child badly injured following a chainsaw attack by a psycho.
Lokesh has now provided the latest piece of information regarding the girl child, who is currently being treated at the famous Manipal Hospital in Bengaluru.
The doctors at Manipal Hospital have confirmed that both the orthopaedic and plastic surgeries performed on the young girl who was brutally attacked in Rapthadu, Andhra Pradesh, have been successful. She has now been shifted to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) for close monitoring.
Lokesh confirmed that he gave his personal mobile number to the parents of the victim, and said he would be standing by them at all times. He confirmed all possible support to the innocent girl child, and her family members in this hour of crisis.
Lokesh said that the next 48 hours are extremely crucial for the young girl and urged everyone to pray for her speedy recovery, irrespective of their religion. He called for collective prayers and support as the child continues her fight for recovery.
Along with this, there has been this growing demand from the public to ensure that the students who were in the classroom during this horror event would receive trauma therapy to deal with the situation.
In tune with this, the government has deployed a dedicated team of 20 mental health counsellors who are visiting the homes of all 32 students of Class X-A, as well as girl students of Classes 8, 9 and 10.
They are speaking with the children and their parents, offering emotional support and helping them cope with the trauma. The government is providing all possible all round support to the victims and suffered students in this direction.
