With just seven days left for Peddi’s release, fans are eagerly waiting for clarity on premiere shows in Nizam. While Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor continue promotions, discussions around benefit shows and ticket hikes are creating tension among fans.
The team recently completed promotional events in Mumbai, Bhopal and Bengaluru. At the same time, director Buchi Babu is reportedly busy wrapping up dubbing and post production work ahead of release.
In Andhra Pradesh, permissions for special shows are not expected to be a major issue. Industry circles say applications for higher ticket pricing have already moved forward and approvals may arrive soon.
The bigger concern is Telangana. Theatre exhibitors are strongly opposing ticket price hikes and benefit shows as a part of ongoing controversy around Percentage issue. This has created uncertainty over whether special permissions will be granted before release.
Fans feel the film needs simultaneous premieres everywhere to avoid spoilers and social media leaks. The makers are now under pressure to settle the issue quickly before last minute complications affect release plans.
As inside reports around Peddi remain highly promising, getting premiere shows approved in both Telugu states could help the film register massive opening numbers at the box office. All eyes are now on how the makers, including producer Satish Kilaru, handle the situation in the final week before release.
