Donald Trump has made it a mission to trouble the international immigration population as his administration has been coming up with regular measures to constraint the living conditions for the immigration folk.
Now the Donald Trump administration is proposing a new plan that would completely suffocate the bigger section of the Indian population that generally depends on the H-1B visa.
The new visa rule that was proposed by the department of home and security today says that RIN 1615-AD22 would eliminate the 60-day grace period after a temporary worker loses their job.
H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, E-1, E-2, E-3 and others would be affected by this new rule change that was proposed by the department of homeland security today.
For those wondering the impact of this proposed change, the Immigration authorities will now act immediately after a person loses an employment visa in the USA. Previously, there was a grace period of 60 days which was sufficient to find a new job or find alternatives, but that is not the case anymore.
Any person who loses the employment with their current company will have to immediately leave the United States as they will not have a valid visa to stay. This is going to be a lethal blow to the Indian community that extensively depends on H1B Visa for an elongated stay in the United States.
The proposed rule will be open for public comments from September 11, with the new regulations expected to come into effect by late 2026 or early 2027.
