Will Jagan Have To Attend Court Every Week?

A significant development has occurred in the Jagan disproportionate assets case. The CBI court has decided to conduct day-to-day hearings for the ED Cases.

Consequently, daily hearings will be held for both the CBI and Enforcement Directorate (ED) cases. ED lawyers have been instructed to appear accordingly.

The court, focusing on the cases involving 70 accused individuals, including Jagan. The daily hearings of the ED cases are likely to begin on Monday.

Earlier, when the CBI court decided to hear the CBI cases on a daily basis, it instructed Jagan Mohan Reddy to attend the court every Friday.

Jagan regularly attended the court until the 2019 elections. He used to give a break to his Padayatra every Friday and resume it on Monday.

But once in Power, he filed non-stop absence petitions to skip the court proceedings in the name of his CM duties. Later, he got an exemption from attendance, citing his busy schedule as a CM and a strain on the state exchequer to make necessary arrangements.

He barely attended the court during that five-year tenure. Somehow, that court order was never contested after Jagan lost the 2024 election.

If the daily hearings begin in the ED cases, the court may order Jagan Mohan Reddy to attend the court every week. This time, he has no reason to avoid it.

YSR Congress would pray that it would never come.
