Mimi Trailer: Surrogate Mother’s Funny Ride

Kriti Sanon’s upcoming film, Mimi official trailer has been unveiled today and it certainly is entertaining with a wide spectrum of emotions. Directed by Laxman Utekar, Mimi trailer shows Kriti as a surrogate mother with a new and unusual concept. The trailer also highlights the pivotal characters of Pankaj Tripathi, Sai Tamhankar, Supriya Pathak and Manoj Pahwa’s dialogues.

Kriti shared the trailer on social media and tweeted, “#Mimi expected everything, except for this unexpected journey! Watch the glimpse of her unexpected story with your family. #MimiTrailer out now. Releasing on 30th July on @JioCinema & @NetflixIndia. #NothingLikeWhatYoureExpecting.”

The trailer starts with Pankaj Tripathi as an agent asking Kriti to give a surrogate child to a foreign couple. It has all witty and emotional turns, especially when the couple asks Mimi to abort the child. Mimi will be releasing on 30 July on Netflix India and Jio Cinema. For Mimi character, Kriti gained 15 kgs for the role of a surrogacy mother.

The trailer also shows Kriti as a dancer in Mandawa and the story revolves around how she ends up being a surrogate for a couple. The film was shot in Rajasthan’s Churu, showcasing its scenic views. The film is written by Rohan Shankar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under his banner Maddock Films and is loosely based on the Marathi film Mala Aai Vhhaychy! (2011).
