A Q&A session on Twitter has got actress Meera Chopra into big trouble. It led to severe online abuse and trolling by fans of Tarak on Tuesday, after the actress said “I don’t know him (NTR)…I am not his fan.”
Meera also began to hit back at these posts and filed a cyberbullying case with Hyderabad Police. Undeterred fans of Jr NTR went a ahead and started digging into old posts of the actress to attack her on social media.
One of the them pointed out that Meera dropped a tweet saying that ‘Tik Tok should be officially banned in India, Instead, let us use only Indian apps” on 3rd April. A fortnight later-i.e on 19 April- the ‘Bangaram’ actress tweeted her favorite tik-tok video along with sister Kaina Chopra. Noted Singer Chinmayi stood up for Meera and suggested to file a complaint with NCW (National Commission for Women).
Other social media users and fans of NTR argue that Meera Chopra should clarify why she is liking satirical tweets and abusive posts on their hero.
