The 2 month long lockdown has resulted in crores of losses to most of the Tollywood filmmakers. The impact is especially quite huge on the producers who usually bankroll high budget movies with top stars.
Since the lockdown has changed the economics in Tollywood, many established producers are now focusing on small budget movies. Apparently, almost all the reputed producers and production houses are in plans to make films with a budget of less than 10 crores.
This has resulted in a huge demand for all the small and upcoming heroes and even directors and technicians. Preparations are already in full swing to come up with scripts for limited budget films.
With big budget movies staring at additional expenses even the shootings resume after the lockdown, it’s only the small movies that will ensure the makers see some profits.
