The Komaram Bheem teaser which was released by team RRR later last year sparked a big controversy. Towards the end of the teaser, Jr NTR aka Komaram Bheem is shown in a Muslim avatar.
This drew a negative response from a section of historians and Komaram Bheem descendants alike. They criticised Rajamouli for his wrongful presentation of Bheem who never followed Muslim culture.
In his latest interaction with a media portal, Vijayendra Prasad who penned the story for RRR revealed the story behind Bheem’s Muslim avatar in the teaser.
“Nizam emperors tried to track down Komaram Bheem and started a search operation to nab him. In a bid to escape from Nizam police, Bheem turned a Muslim youth. He used this is a deceptive trick,” Vijayendra Prasad revealed.
Also, the senior writer stated that Ram Charan’s police role in RRR will come as a special surprise to the viewers. “We wrote the story with Ram Charan and Jr NTR’s images in mind.”
RRR is slated for worldwide theatrical release on 13th October. The unit is presently shooting a promotional song in Hyderabad.
