Tollywood BO: 6 Films To Test Luck On 6th August

After the theatres opened across the Telugu states, small-budget films are queueing up for release. As there is a 50% occupancy rule in Andhra Pradesh, the makers of big films are not getting ready for release yet. Meanwhile, Tollywood will witness six small releases tomorrow. Among these 6 movies, SR Kalyana Mandapam is the only film that is carrying a good buzz in the trade as well as the audiences. We have to see if the film can become a hit.

1. SR Kalyanamandapam:

This is probably the most popular one among the releases. Starring Kiran Abbavaram, Priyanka Jawalkar, and Sai Kumar in the lead roles, the film garnered good buzz with its trailer and songs. It has a good chance of getting better openings tomorrow.

2. Ippudu Kaaka Inkeppudu:

Urban rom-com that is targeted at the younger generation of audience. Directed by Y. Yugandhar, this movie features Hasvanth Vanga, Namrata Darekar, and Katalyn Gowda in the lead roles. The movie was in news due to the controversy created by the film’s trailer.

3. Mugguru Monagallu:

Comedian Srinivasa Reddy’s comedy caper is another prominent release this week. It features Deekshith Shetty and Vennela Ramarao in the other lead roles. The makers are banking on Srinivas Reddy’s popularity and the film’s comical elements to pull the crowd to the cinema halls.

4. Merise Merise:

This romantic entertainer is directed by Pawan Kumar K. It features Dinesh Tej of Husharu fame and Swetha Awasthi in the lead roles.

5. MAD:

Touted to be a coming-of-age romantic drama, MAD translates to Marriage and Divorce. The film is a tale of two married couples.

6. Ksheera Sagara Mathanam:

Directed by Anil Panguluri, this commercial potboiler features newcomers. The makers targeted youth as their primary audience.

It has to be seen which of these films will manage to entertain and impress the viewers this week at the theatres.

On the other hand, Thimmarusu and Ishq: Not a love story was released in theatres last Friday. Both the films have failed to attract the audiences.
