Superhit Malayalam film Kappela is now being remade in Telugu. Produced by Sithara Entertainments, this movie features Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Arjun Das in the lead roles. Debutant Shourie Chandrasekhar T Ramesh is directing the project.
The film was launched last month. Earlier, it was heard that Rajasekhar and Jeevitha’s daughter Shivatmika will play the female lead role in this movie. However, it is now being reported that the role is bagged by another young actress Anikha Surendran.
Apparently, the talks are already held and the budding actress had signed the film as well. Anikha is busy with a series of projects in Tamil and Malayalam. She shot to fame by playing the role of teenage Jayalalitha in the web series Queen.
Anikha is also acting in a pivotal role in Nagarjuna Akkineni’s upcoming action thriller, which is being directed by Praveen Sattaru. Meanwhile, Sweekar Agasthi is composing the music of Kappela’s remake. More details of it will be revealed soon.
