Movie Artists Association (MAA) elections are scheduled to take place by now but the pandemic disrupted the schedule. The current president Naresh has already informed the members of the association that they are planning to hold the elections next month. However, there is no stopping for the war of words between the members of MAA.

For the first time, Megastar Chiranjeevi broke his silence on the ongoing controversy around the association. Chiranjeevi penned a letter to the disciplinary committee chairman Krishnam Raju, highlighting key aspects of the election.

Chiranjeevi is extremely unhappy with the members of the association throwing mud on one another unnecessarily. In his letter to Krishnam Raju, Chiranjeevi requested the senior actor to organize the elections as soon as possible. “Since the tenure of the current committee comes to an end, a lot of welfare activities came to a halt. The elections must take place soon for the resumption of the activities,” revealed Chiranjeevi in his letter.

Chiranjeevi also feels that some of the members are bringing disrespect to the association because of their open comments in the media. Earlier, Chiranjeevi requested everyone not to approach the media but solve the issues amicably in internal meetings of the association. Still, a few are putting the association in the headlines.

Chiranjeevi apparently requested Krishnam Raju to take strict action against the members who are not disciplined.

A few days back, artist Hema approached the media and alleged that Naresh is conspiring to postpone the MAA elections. Naresh responded to the same on Monday.

There are speculations that the disciplinary committee of the MAA will send a show-cause notice to Hema and will take appropriate action against her for violating the rules.

For the 2021 elections, Prakash Raj, Manchu Vishnu, Hema, Jeevitha Rajasekhar, and CVL Narasimha Rao are contesting for the president’s post.

Megastar Chiranjeevi, the founding president of the association is reportedly supporting Prakash Raj this time.
