The Independence Day festivities started across the country and even in the film arena, many new releases are lining up this week to entertain the audiences. To fill patriotism among the audiences ahead of Independence Day, Disney+Hotstar premiered Bhuj: The Pride of India today.
Starring Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles, Bhuj skipped its theatrical release and has premiered directly on Hotstar. The story of this movie is set during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. It showcases how Pakistan destroyed the IAF airstrip in Bhuj and how it was reconstructed by IAF squadron leader Vijay Karnik, with the help of local villagers.
Bhuj features various other prominent actors like Nora Fatehi, Sharad Kelkar, Ammy Virk, and Pranitha Subhash. Just a couple of days back, Prime Video came up with another patriotic film Shershaah, which is receiving huge critical and popular acclaim. Hotstar is expecting to get the same response with Bhuj.
Bhuj is directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya. This is the first direct OTT release for star hero Ajay Devgn.
