Bheemla Nayak Missing This Element!

The multi-starrer film, Ayyappanum Koshiyum is a perfect edge seat entertainer in Malayalam. Biju Menon and Prithviraj Sukumaran shine with their standout performances, both being the real and equal superstars of the given storyline. The Telugu remake of the film will have these two roles reprised by Powerstar Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati respectively, and the stellar cast is now creating waves among cine-goers.

The original film in Malayalam is a crystal clear depiction that it is a multi-starrer with two characters sharing equal screen space and powerful impacts on viewers’ minds. Biju Menon’s character is, of course, a powerful and intriguing one. But that does not mean, Prithviraj’s role is shown any less.

It is easily a movie where Biju Menon is the star compared to Prithviraj but it can’t be denied that the latter has equally gone into the skin of the character with ease. The ego tussle between them has been rightly showcased by the makers and you are hooked on to the story. However, seems like the Telugu version will be missing this element.

Bheemla Nayak looks more like a solo hero’s film than a multi-starrer and we can safely say this as the film’s first look, promotions, and teaser showcased Pawan but not Rana. Even the title glorified Pawan Kalyan explicitly. But in Malayalam, the film has been named in such a way that both the characters are equally valued.

Ever since the first glimpse was released, the makers have undeniably focused on PK. But the storyline begs to differ and it is hard to imagine this story with the other character being underutilized.

In fact, It would make sense if the makers released the Pawan-centric teaser on PK’s birthday. But now it looks like Rana’s character has been underused and presumably, the makers are not considering giving him his due share of the credit. In conclusion, Rana’s fans and neutral audience demand the makers show the equal charismatic parts of the actors. And saying that, we sincerely hope Rana’s first look be unveiled real quick!
