Jr.Bachchan Buys The Rights Of Oththa Seruppu Size 7

Abhishek Bachchan has acquired rights to the 2019 Tamil thriller Oththa Seruppu Size 7. And soon after, the actor also kickstarted shooting for the film in Chennai. Abhishek is headlining the official Hindi adaptation of the Tamil thriller, producing under his banner.

Jr,Bachchan said that he loved R Parthiban’s film and fell for it instantly. The film revolves around a man being questioned as a murder suspect. Parthiban not only directed the film but also wrote and featured in the original. It takes immense courage even to conceive an idea to make a film with only one character let alone to make it, but Parthiban not only conceived an idea here, but he also produced, directed and felt it’s not enough and even went on to act as a lead.

He certainly did not care about the consequences and had 100 per cent confidence in his craft. While we applaud the efforts made for the Tamil film, Parthiban is now directing Abhishek Bachchan’s version. Moreover, the Hindi adaptation will be made in such a way that it impresses and suits the North audience. Abhishek took the responsibility earnestly and the project is close to his heart.

He flew down to Chennai and had set up the production infrastructure, taking a lot of interest. It is now Parthiban’s job to keep the gritty flavour of the original intact while tweaking the screenplay as per the pan-India audience.

Abishek will be seen in an unprecedented look and the shooting has begun under strict protocols. Oththa Seruppu Size 7 won two national awards and joined the Asia Book of Records and India Book of Records leagues for having a single person writing, directing, solo acting and producing a film.
