Devarakonda’s Extreme Demands Led To Project Cancellation?

After ‘Liger’ under Puri Jagannadh’s direction, hero Vijay Deverakonda has lined up films with directors Shiva Nirvana and Sukumar. With ‘Liger’ being made on a pan-India scale, Vijay is in thoughts that his market post the film’s release would grow. Accordingly, Vijay is said to be aiming for more pan-India movies in future.

The film with Sukumar has high chances of getting made in multiple languages. Now, the latest buzz in the T-town is that Vijay is expecting the same to happen for the film with ‘Tuck Jagadish’ director. Consequently, Vijay has asked director Shiva Nirvana to make changes in the script and also asked the producers to increase the budget, according to the Tollywood grapevine.

Initially, Shiva Nirvana gave a thought of considering Vijay’s new demand and make changes in the script. But the ‘Arjun Reddy’ star is rumoured to have wanted some serious changes for which director Shiva was hesitant.

Also, the producer of the VD and Nirvana film was not ready for a pan-India scale budget unlike the initial plan. Thus, both the director and producer said to have informed VD that things may not materialise with such extreme demands. We now hear that this project has been shelved.

The last three films of Vijay Deverakonda bombed at the box office and so he has pinned high hopes on ‘Liger.’ He is confident that the film will be a blockbuster at the box office but it is too early for him to put demands on his future projects.
