Samantha
From not responding to The Family Man 2 Tamils controversy and to changing her social media profile name from ‘Samantha Akkineni’ to simple ‘S’, there was a lot of hullabaloo around queen bee Samantha’s actions these days. And finally, the actress responds to the said things.
Speaking with famous journalist Anupama Chopra, the pretty actress stated that she’s not in a mood to speak about them back then, as she says, “I will respond to any controversy or a troll only when I want to talk about it, but not when people ask me”. It can’t get any more candid than this we have to say. So, why did she dropped the Akkineni surname from her name?
“I don’t want to react to any of those things. I don’t like conflicts. Like how anyone is entitled to their own opinion of things, even I’m entitled to mine” she says, quite diplomatically, neither giving any reasons nor any explanations regarding the same. The actress also clarified that being part of the Akkineni family will not burden her with making any tough acting choices. “Though I’ve a huge fan base and their love, I never put fans or anyone to that matter, between me and my career choices” she affirmed.
While the actress confirmed that she will take a break from acting now as the 11 years of non-stop acting took a toll on her, she added that she’s a bit tensed about her husband Chay’s upcoming release “Love Story”. “All the time, I worry and feel anxious about my films releases as well as his” she concluded.
