Director Karuna Kumar made an impressive debut with the 2020 film Palasa. Later, he made a web series called Metro Kathalu for Aha. Now, he is coming back with his new outing, Sridevi Soda Center. Starring Sudheer Babu and Aanandhi in the lead roles, this movie is all set for its theatrical release on Friday.
In a recent interview, Karuna Kumar shared how tough was it for him to find a Telugu heroine for the movie. He said, “I have contacted a few Telugu actresses for the female lead in this film. Some of them asked who is the hero in the movie while some others told me to narrate stories to their managers. None of them have heard my script.”
Karuna Kumar said that story is the primary hero in his films. He revealed that Sridevi Soda Center deals with the love story of a Soda Center owner’s daughter and an electrician. How the societal norms and social situations have affected their love story forms the main crux of the movie. Karuna Kumar said that people will see a new side of Mani Sharma’s music in this film.
