With over 59 years of experience as an actor and as a producer, Superstar Krishna became a household name in the Telugu states. Krishna is known as a daring and dashing actor in Telugu Cinema. He introduced many technologies to Tollywood and created a special place for himself.

In a recent interview with a leading Telugu news channel, Krishna officially confirmed his retirement. The 78-year-old actor was last seen in 2016 released Sri Sri. After that, Krishna remained inactive.

In the latest interview, Krishna opened up on the same. Looking back at his journey in the cinema industry, the actor expressed his happiness. “I am fully satisfied and happy with my career. Since I am retired now, I no more think about it,” confirmed the actor.

When asked about making guest appearances or essaying special roles in any upcoming films, the actor expressed no interest. Without a second thought, Krishna strictly said “No,” to essay guest roles or to make cameo appearances.

Sri Sri that released in 2016 features Superstar Krishna in the lead role but before that, he acted as a character artist. Baladur, Sukumarudu and are a few films where he played his age.

Talking about not being interested in doing guest characters, Krishna said, “My fans, in the first place do not want me to play such roles. I already acted in a few films like that but they sent me letters and made phone calls requesting not to take up such characters again. I will not act again.”

Krishna acted with his sons Mahesh Babu and Ramesh Babu in multiple films.
