When Sirivennela was upset with Krish

Director Krish Jagarlamudi shares a close bonding with lyricist Sirivennela Seetarama Sastry. Krish often describes Sastry as one of his major pillars of support in the film industry, who has been supporting him since his first film Gamyam.

The duo has given a special interview for Telugu news daily on the occasion of Teachers’ Day. In the interview, Krish revealed an incident where Sirivennela had sulked on him.

“Guruvu garu (Sirivennela) wrote a 14-minute song in Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum. I would have accepted it now but that was not the case then. It was only my third film back then. So, I wasn’t really sure of using the entire song,” said Krish.

“I was thinking about the edit of the film all the time. So, I didn’t use a few phrases of the song in the film. I didn’t listen to him. So, he was in a sulk for a few days,” he added.

Sastry said that he likes Krish’s every film. He called Gamyam a trendsetter and Kanche a masterpiece.

Currently, Krish is awaiting the release of his next film Konda Polam. He is also busy with the works of his other film Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which features Power Star Pawan Kalyan in the lead role.
