Other day the pre-release event of the upcoming biopic film “Thailavi” has surely turned all the heads with Kangana Ranaut not only giving a mesmerising performance in the role of late Tamilnadu CM Jayalalitha but with her finest speech on the stage as well. And then, here is what Thalaivi team has done.
To craft the film, director AL Vijay and producer Vishnu Induri are said to have decided to get original Kanchipuram sarees weaved for Kangana’s role. Late Jayalalitha, a charismatic politician and actress, used to wear these specially woven sarees all the time, and that’s the reason the filmmakers’ got the same. And then, they have got weaved more of similar sarees to gift them to the powerful women in the society including actresses and politicians. Guess who is the first on the list.
None other than queen bee Samantha has received the first-ever gift from Thalaivi makers it seems. Packed in a golden box with a specially written letter explaining the importance of Kanchipuram saree in Jaya’s life, the producers have sent it to Samantha, which the actress shared excitingly. As the gift is all about saluting the spirit of a woman, even Sam felt super excited and went on saying that she’s eagerly waiting for September 10th to come, to see Thalaivi on the screen.
Of course, even fans are dying to see Samantha draped in that red Kancheepuram saree gifted by Thalaivi team, as the hot siren always looks incredible in ethnic wear.
