Akshay Kumar, Despite Losing His Mother, Attends Another Funeral

Akshay Kumar himself dealt a personal loss today. The actor lost his ailing mother Aruna Bhatia today and he is grieving. On the other hand, filmmaker Aanand L Rai, who directed hit films like Raanjhanaa, Tanu Weds Manu, also lost his mother on the same day.

Akshay is a good friend of Aanand and despite his own personal tragedy, the actor rushed to the Oshiwara crematorium to pay his last respects to Aanand L Rai’s mother. The gesture is leaving his fans emotional.

Akshay completed the rituals of his mother by noon and went to see Aanand and his family in the evening today. Earlier in the morning, Akshay Kumar took to social media to announce the demise of his mother.

The actor tweeted, “She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti.”
