Maverick director Christopher Nolan is all set to announce his new feature soon, reported the major Hollywood media houses. Apparently, this movie will be set in the period of World War II and is based on the life of J. Robert Oppenheimer.
J. Robert Oppenheimer was a physicist who worked in the development of the atom bomb during WWII. This will be Nolan’s second film set in the backdrop of WWII, after the 2017 movie Dunkirk.
It is also reported that Cillian Murphy may play a prominent role in the project. Cillian worked with Nolan for multiple projects in the past, like Batman Begins, The Dark Knight Rises, Inception and Dunkirk.
The big news is that Nolan may not make this project with his regular collaborator Warner Bros. and apparently, he is pitching the story to other major production houses.
Nolan might have taken this decision after Warner Bros. started releasing their feature films simultaneously on HBO Max and in theatres.
Nolan’s last film was the 2020 release Tenet, which featured John David Washington and Robert Pattinson in the lead roles.
