Maestro Is My 1st Remake, Excited To See How People Will React: Nabha

Due to covid situations, few films are going OTT way and one such film is Nithiin’s Maestro directed by Merlapaka Gandhi with Nabha Natesh playing the leading lady and Tamannaah Bhatia in a negatve shaded role. The film’s promotions are in full swing and today actress Nabha Natesh interacted with scribes.

Did you watch the original Andhadhun?
Yes. I watched Andhadhun, when it was released in theatres. The film was a turning point in Hindi cinema. The face of Indian cinema was changed with the movie.

What did you feel when you first got the offer?
I really felt happy, because it’s a very different kind of film. It’s my first ever remake. Radhika Apte is well-known for her acting prowess. I didn’t want to watch the movie, after I signed Maestro, since there will be the influence of the original.

It’s your first film with Nithiin. How was it working with him?
It’s a wonderful experience of working with Nithiin. He is very nice and dedicated. He played the blind and he used to be very cautious for small things as well. Nithiin and my chemistry too worked well on screen.

Did you fear shooting under tough situations due to covid?
The film’s shooting started in January and covid was at peaks during the time. We initially shot pub and restaurant scenes. But, later we used to the situations.

Do you feel bad for releasing the movie on OTT?
I had two releases during covid-19. I don’t have any problem with OTT release. There are lots of confusions over theatres and business. Now, as the film is arriving on OTT, everyone will watch it. People are looking for good Telugu content and Maestro will be a right choice for them.

Did director make any changes to the script?
Director Merlapaka Gandhi made it look like a proper Telugu cinema. It has songs and some fresh scenes.

Is it good to do remake or challenging?
I don’t know how the response will be from audience, as Maestro is my first remake. I’m excited to see how people will react to it.

Why didn’t you dub for your role?
Due to lack of time, I couldn’t dub for my film. But I will try to dub for my next films.

Do you have any interest to do OTT content?
I want to do all kind of films. My journey has just begun. I’m very fortunate that, I have done different genre films. Even in Maestro, it’s a fresh portrayal for me. People are appreciating my looks in the movie. Content is important for me to do OTT content.

Maestro will be streaming on Disney + Hotstar on September 17th.
