Like it was discussed in these columns already, both the big-budgeted films, Rajamouli’s #RRR and Prabhas Radhe Shyam are actually fighting for the Sankranthi 2022 slot for a release.
Guess what, going by the happenings, it looks like both are not worried about the Telugu release date but they are focusing on the Hindi version date only.
While there is no update from #RRR makers about the Telugu release date, distributors of the Hindi version have confirmed to Bollywood media that the Rajamouli creation is hitting cinemas on January 12th.
And another distribution giant that is releasing Radhe Shyam in Hindi has now confirmed with another Bollywood media that the film is coming up on January 14th. One wonders why the makers of these two films, DVV Danayya and UV Creations respectively, give any update to the Telugu audience.
In this pandemic time, if these two films clash at the Telugu box office, surely one would eat into the revenues of the other. Both the films have the potential to get 100% housefuls even if they are released in 100% number of theatres in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. And now, that will be half if they clash like this, while #RRR will have 2 days advantage maybe.
