Vishwak Sen’s Another Bold Attempt Struggling At The Box Office

Vishwak Sen’s latest bold attempt, Cult, has failed to make an impact at the box office. Inspired by the survival-game genre, Sen took on the additional responsibility of directing the film, hoping to deliver something different.

However, the experiment has not worked, with the film collecting only single digit gross, which is quite low. With the weekdays setting in, the occupancy will surely go down, and the target audience for whom the film was made will also avoid Cult in theaters.

This setback adds to Vishwak’s recent disappointing run. Films like Mechanic Rocky, Laila, and Funky struggled to impress audiences commercially. While Vishwak is undoubtedly a talented actor with a unique screen presence, his repeated experiments are increasingly failing to connect with moviegoers.

Many feel that the actor should now focus more on strong scripts and relatable content instead of taking unnecessary risks. Experimentation is welcome, but it needs the right story and emotional connection to work at the box office.

Vishwak’s next film, ENE Repeat, directed by Tharun Bhascker, is now generating expectations. The sequel reunites the popular gang from Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi and is scheduled for release on November 19.

The big question is whether this nostalgic entertainer can bring Vishwak Sen back on track. His talent is not in doubt, but he needs a solid commercial success to regain his grip on the audience. Only time will tell when he will make a strong comeback.
