MAA Elections: CVL Narasimha Rao Withdraws His Nomination

Popular artist and advocate CVL Narasimha Rao also joined the Movie Artists Association (MAA) election race with ‘Telangana’ sentiment. In a shocking twist, he followed Bandla Ganesh’s footsteps and withdrew his nomination for the President’s position.

The other day, Bandla Ganesh who filed a nomination for the General Secretary post withdrew his nomination and extended his support to Prakash Raj. But, CVL revealed that he is not supporting either Prakash Raj’s panel or Manchu Vishnu’s panel.

What’s more shocking is his decision coming after the announcement of his manifesto. When he announced his participation in the polls, CVL brought the Telangana sentiment forward and gave an assurance to the Telangana artists of providing more opportunities. Bharatiya Janatha Party (BJP) leaders also extended their support to CVL.

When asked about the reason for not contesting in the polls, CVL asked for a time of two days. He is expected to explain his move in a couple of days.

With CVL’s exit from the poll race, the contest for the President’s post will be between Prakash Raj and Manchu Vishnu.
