Rakul Preet Singh
Actress Rakul Preet Singh will next be seen opposite Vaishnav Tej in a spectacular adventurous movie Konda Polam. The film directed by Krish under First Frame Entertainments banner is due for release in couple of days. Meanwhile, Rakul Preet Singh interacted with scribes. Here are excerpts.
Rakul clarifies that she didn’t lose weight for Konda Polam. “I lost weight for De De Pyaar De and have been maintaining same weight since then. When Krish came to my home to narrate the story, he said I look so young and will look perfect opposite Vaishnav Tej. I liked the story in the middle of the narration itself. The content is very new to Indian movie buffs. It feels like watching a mini Jungle Book.”
Rakul says she learnt how to control sheep in just 4 days. “It’s very difficult to learn Rayalaseema accent. Shepherds wear similar kind of costumes. They wear less jewelry. Controlling sheep in forest was a big challenge. Myself and Vaishnav worked really hard. I learnt to control sheep in just 4 days after beginning shoot of the film.”
The actress shares she felt very excited in shooting the film in forest. “Konda Polam is a very tough film to make, though it is easy to watch them on screen. Walking in forest in Lehenga itself was a big thing for me, but the crew had to carry the camera equipment to the shooting spot every day. We can understand their hardships.”
Rakul who opines everyone will like Obulamma character lauds her co-star Vaishnav Tej. “Vaishnav Tej has got powerful eyes. He has great future ahead. He’s very grounded and has no over-confidence. He has the zeal to learn new things.”
