Will Take Back My Resignation On One Condition: Prakash Raj

From the last few days, there is the high drama surrounding Movie Artists Association (MAA) elections. Manchu Vishnu and Prakash Raj contested for the President’s post at the association and Manchu Vishnu won the election with a high majority. After his defeat, Prakash Raj submitted his resignation from the primary membership of the MAA. Prakash Raj has decided to bring together all the members of his panel. The members who won the election also decided to resign and follow in Prakash Raj’s footsteps.

Prakash Raj has held a press meet in Hyderabad to reveal the same.

Prakash Raj alleged that there is cross-voting in the MAA elections. He also told that his panel tasted injustice with regards to the postal ballots. Prakash Raj also expressed that foul play has taken place in the elections counting.

“Manchu Vishnu revealed that he will bring everyone together for the welfare of the MAA. But, he said the General Secretary and Treasurer are from his panel. He also made some comments that no one can stop them and I was hurt by such comments,” said Prakash Raj, expressing a dilemma if the welfare activities will take place properly in the coming days.

“After giving a lot of thought, our panel members decided to submit our resignations to the president Manchu Vishnu. We will observe his performance from the outside. He can work with his panel members. If Manchu Vishnu fails to fulfill the promises he made, we will question him. We will not create any disturbances to him but we will not tolerate if he fails to work towards the promises he made.” said Prakash Raj, adding, “Vishnu garu, I hope you accept our resignation.”

Prakash Raj also clarified that he will take back his resignation on one condition. “If Vishnu does not change the bylaws, I will continue with the association. Manchu Vishnu should not change the rule that a non-Telugu-speaking person can contest in the future MAA elections. I am waiting for Vishnu’s response on this aspect,” said the actor.
