RX100 Director Should Come Out Of That Now

“If audiences want to see regular routine films, then don’t watch my film”- This is the statement made by director Ajay Bhupathi during the release of the film, RX100. Back then it sounded arrogant, but then, the film’s only twist has saved it big time along with super hit songs and Payal Rajput’s striking glamour.

Cut to Mahasamudram now, the director said, “I wanted to make only a two heroes film, and never changed the script for anyone, and did it”. But the result is something he hasn’t expected.

From Naga Chaitanya to Raviteja to Nithin, many heroes who have heard the story of Mahasamudram felt that there is no depth in the characterisations, neither there are any logic in this otherwise outdated commercial plot that is beaten to death in the 90s, but Ajay is quite adamant that he wants to make a film out of that script only.

Forget about the logic, one cannot connect to the emotional journey in the film as it lacks it totally. People close to the director are said to be now advising him to come out of that uncompromising behaviour, as that will delay his next film by a long time.

The likes of Sukumar, Trvikarm and Rajamouli also make changes to scripts basing on the advice given by their team and also by the leading heroes of their movies. Time has come for Ajay Bhupathi as well to sit and refine his scripts well before moving to other projects. Otherwise like his guru Ram Gopal Varma, he will be pretty much outdated in no time, says industry experts. Let’s see how the director of Mahasamudram reacts to this.
