Netizens Criticize Kota For Casteist Remarks

A few days back, actor Naga Babu made disturbing remarks on Kota Srinivasa Rao. Naga Babu, who was supporting Prakash Raj in the MAA elections, criticized Kota’s remarks on Raj. He said why Kota is being jealous of Prakash Raj during the final days of his life.

Naga Babu was severely trolled by the netizens for making such insensitive comments on a senior actor like Kota. Meanwhile, the veteran actor has responded to Naga Babu’s comments in a recent interview.

He said that Naga Babu survives on the fame of his brothers Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan. “How can he make such comments? Did I hurt him any time? Imagine the backlash I would have faced in the media if I made similar comments on him,” stated Kota.

Meanwhile, Kota also confessed that there is caste-favouritism in the Telugu film industry even now. He supported the trend by saying that he will remain loyal to Kammas because 95% of the food he ate in his career was because of that community.

“I respect them because they fed me for more than 40 years. 95% of the food I ate was because of them. The remaining 5% is from Reddys and Rajus. I have no qualms in admitting this fact openly,” stated Kota.

He also defended Mohan Babu’s aggression during the MAA elections. He said that Mohan Babu is angry in nature but he is not a harmful person. “He shouted at me many times in the past. Not only me, but he shouted at many people in the industry. That doesn’t make him bad,” said the veteran actor.

This video is now going viral on social media. People who took a stand with Kota during Naga Babu issue, are now furious at the actor for making casteist remarks.
