No doubt, Sharwanand is a talented hero. His looks and voice are a value addition. However, of late, he is not scoring hits at the Box Office. His last success was Mahanubhavudu back in 2017.
While Sreekaram had impressed critics, it failed to rake in moolah. Jaanu, the Telugu remake of 96, too ended as a colossal failure. The latest to add to his failures list is this week’s release Maha Samudram. The film’s failure indicates Sharwa’s poor judgement of scripts.
Especially after the disaster result of his own film Ranarangam which was also set against Vizag backdrop and has a mafia theme, how Sharwa has chosen Ajay Bhupati’s Maha Samudram which is also having a similar backdrop is a bit shocking.
A talented hero like Sharwa making wrong choices is proving costly for the industry. It is eventually affecting his market and thus affecting the business of his upcoming films which is not a welcome sign.
It is high time Sharwa should rethink on the selection process of his films and also should rethink about the scripts he is choosing. Or else, producers and distributors of his films would have to pay a costly price along with him.
