As per the latest buzz in the T-Town, the 34-year-old actress is now planning to act in more web content. According to the sources, she is in talks with Amazon Prime Video and Aha for two web series.
It is reported that Prime Video is planning to bankroll a series with Samantha. They are in talks with the Family Man creators Raj and DK to helm this project. We may get an official announcement once everything gets finalized.
On the flip side, Telugu streaming platform Aha is also holding discussions with Sam for a web series. Aha and Samantha teamed up for the chat show Sam Jam in the past.
It looks like Samantha wants to make her presence felt in the entertainment sector and is planning to come up with new digital projects regularly. As OTT platforms give her wider exposure, she is aiming to do more web content. Web series also help her in attracting all classes of audiences.
On the film front, Samantha completed the shoot of Kathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal and Shaakuntalam. She will join the sets of her untitled Telugu-Tamil bilingual film soon. Apart from this project, she has no other film in hand. Thus, the actress may be showing interest in doing web series as they can be finished soon and help her stay on the radar even if there is a delay in her theatrical releases.
