One of the Malayalam biggies that decided to skip the theatrical release and is going for a direct digital release is Tovino Thomas’ Superhero-comedy Minnal Murali. Netflix India bought the exclusive rights of this movie. The trailer of the film was unveiled just about a while ago.
“We’ve been Minnal struck and all we can say is – WATT?!!” tweeted Netflix India by sharing the trailer.
Going by trailer, the film deals with a youngster named Murali, who possesses superpowers due to the lightning he was hit with, in his childhood. How his superpowers affected the lives of Murali and the people around him forms the main crux of the movie.
The trailer is cut very well and is hilarious from the first frame to the end frame. Tovino Thomas looks perfectly fit for the role of an innocent rural guy who doesn’t really know how to make use of his superpowers.
Minnal Murali is being directed by Basil Joseph and produced by Sophia Paul. Guru Somasundaram, Aju Varghese, and Femina George are in the other pivotal roles.
It will premiere on Netflix in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada languages on December 24.
