The consensus between Andhra Pradesh government and AP film exhibitors have reached climax. AP I&PR minister Perni Nani held a meeting with exhibitors of Guntur, Krishna and West Godavari districts and discussed extensively on the online ticket portal for Telugu films.
Noted film producer and exhibitor Ambika Krishna spoke to the media after the meeting and welcomed the decision of AP government to launch an online ticket portal. “We have unanimously accepted the proposal of the AP government to bring in a portal and hope it will be out for the market soon,” said Ambika Krishna.
Minister Perni Nani added that the revenue generated through ticket sales will be credited in the exhibitor or producer’s account, the very next day of the original sales day. However the exhibitors have requested the AP government to hike the ticket prices with immediate effect and the same should reflect on the government online ticketing portal.
Also the exhibitors have asked for a few incentives from the state government as theatre management is being included in the industries sector. The proposals by exhibitors are yet to be considered by the state government.
