Kurup Is A Many Genres Film: Dulquer Salmaan

Dulquer Salmaan’s Kurup is the first major Pan-India film releasing from the South after the COVID second wave. The movie which is based on a real-life criminal’s story is releasing tomorrow (November 12th). The actor is also the producer of the film and he is very confident of the movie’s success.

“Kurup is a film made for theatrical experience and so, we did not even think about releasing the film on OTT. Kurup is the story of a criminal but it is not possible to say it is of a particular genre. There are many layers in the story that explores beyond Kurup’s crime story. We explore his life from childhood to the final days,” Dulquer Salmaan revealed.

He also says, “We did not glorify the life of Kurup. We showed what happened but at the end of the day, there are families who suffered because of him. So, he is a bad guy and I am playing a bad guy in the film. Just that the bad guy will be the lead role in the film”.
