Gangubai Avoids Clash With RRR, Rajamouli Appreciates It

With the songs of ‘RRR’ getting superb response, the expectations are reaching the next level. The team is planning more promotions in a big way and they are set to kick start later this month or next. But ‘RRR’ has two hurdles before it.

One is the ticket pricing in Andhra Pradesh and for this, the producers will hold talks with the AP government in the coming days. The second hurdle is for the Hindi release. Bollywood top actress Alia Bhatt’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ was scheduled for release on January 6th, a day before ‘RRR’ release. This film too was made on a huge budget and the buzz is very strong.

Trade experts believed that either ‘Gangubai’ or ‘RRR’ would be severely affected with the clash. But this hurdle has been cleared with ‘Gangubai’ release pushed to February. The producers of the film have announced the new release date on February 18th, 2022.

Apparently Pen Studios banner which co-produced ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ had bagged the north distribution rights of ‘RRR’ for a massive amount. Buzz is that Pen Studios negotiated and made sure the clash was avoided.
