Bollywood stars Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal’s wedding has been a hot topic for the past ten days. The couple will be tying the knot on December 9 at Six Senses Fort Barwara. And controversy’s favorite child, Kangana Ranaut has indirectly commented on the current big fat Bollywood’s wedding.
Talking about the age-old thoughts about sexism in marriage, Kangana went on to praise Katrina and Vicky for breaking the stereotypes. Though she did not mention the stars’ names, Kangana wrote a post praising the leading ladies of the Indian Film Industry.
“Growing up we heard so many stories of successful rich men marrying much younger women…..for women to be more successful than their husband was seen as a major crisis, forget marrying a younger man after a certain age marriage was impossible for women…nice to see rich, successful women, leading ladies of Indian Film Industry breaking the sexist norms…kudos to men and women both for redefining gender stereotypes,” read her post.
Now that Kangana speaks about rich women marrying younger men, it is a known fact that Katrina Kaif’s net worth is around Rs 240 crores which is much higher than that of Vicky Kaushal who has a net worth of Rs 25 crores. The actress reportedly takes Rs 11 crore for a movie whereas Vicky Kaushal charges Rs 3-4 crores for each of his movies.
Kangana’s post is understood to be indirectly referencing Katrina and Vicky, as it comes just a day ahead of their wedding. Katrina Kaif, who is 38, is tying the knot to Vicky Kaushal, who is 33. Also, Vicky came to the industry a decade after Katrina’s entry.
